Note: This is not a complete axle, to make it a complete axle, you will need knuckles, drive shaft, axle shaft, output shaft and center differential.
What's the advantage of delrin vs aluminum axle housing? With delrin axle housing, even if it scratch during rock crawling, it will still stay in black color. Delrin is also about 40% lighter than alum. Alum natural looks more cool, but at the end it's a personal choice between the two.
What is delrin? Delrin is the brand name for an acetal resin engineering plastic discovered by DuPont. Often marketed and used as a metal substite, Delrin is a lightweight, low friction, high tensile strength, impact resistance, and wear-resistant plastic. Capable of operating in temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also maintains natural lubricity.
